The issue here is not whether or not he deserved a red card and a suspension. He did - as a Wallabies fan, even I can acknowledge that. The issue is consistency with other judgments for tip tackles, especially where other players were involved in the tackle.
- Sam Warburton got 3 weeks for his RWC tip tackle that where no one else was involved.
- Toby Flood got off for his tackle on Andy Goode because his claim that others were involved in the tackle was accepted.
- Digby Ioane got 5 weeks for a tip tackle on his own and already had previous citings. Kuridrani had a clean record and Matt Toomua had already lifted the player.
Fair enough for the red card and a suspension but we need consistent penalties not the lucky dip that's going on at the moment.

They really have to get the TMO involved in this and send more players off. The citing commissioner also has to hand out bans to all players who were punching on, not just the initiators. That a mass brawl like that only ends with 2 players sent off is ridiculous. Both Canada and Georgia have form on brawls and the IRB needs to send a clear message that it is unacceptable.

Anybody know where a full replay of the match might be found? Usual sources don't seem to have it.

How good was that first 25 minutes by Japan? Real intensity and they had the ABs on the back foot a few times. They've got the talent and enthusiasm - if they can maintain that over a full 80 minutes they'll give a few tier 1 nations some trouble.

If you have a VPN, you can connect to the one of the listed countries (e.g. Italy, Netherlands, Turkey) and watch it that way. As for Aussie commentators, they are nowhere near as biased as the Kiwi cheer squad they call a commentary team.

Well done to the Boks who simply outplayed us. Another very poor performance by the Wallabies in all areas - tackling, handling errors, scrum, high ball, isolation at break-down. About the only positive was Will Genia's return to form, although Israel Falau's poor form cancelled this out a bit. Hard to see how we can improve when we make the same errors each match.
H_Ian_M complained about Hooper's yellow card. I thought Timani's was even more outrageous. He hit his own player! Is that now a yellow card offence, or is the intent what earned him the card?

Genuine question, not having a go.
What was the ruling where Will Genia kicked ahead, the ball bounced back to him and he picked it up, then the Wallabies were penalised?
The Wallabies players didn't get involved in the play and Genia was running forwards to try and put them onside.
Was the ruling they didn't make enough of an effort to get onside during the kick?

All Blacks certainly the stronger side and deserved their win. Wallabies started well but fell into same pattern of poor scrums and line-outs, together with knock-ons and turnovers at critical stages.
Having said that, refereeing was woeful. No side will be able to beat the All Blacks if their continual professional fouls are not yellow carded. Reversed penalty was a joke - the pull was about 30m away from the play! Also the final obstruction penalty happened after an All Blacks player did exactly the same thing from their box kick 30s before. What is it with Sth African refs and friendly refereeing at All Blacks home matches?

Before all you Brits lay the boots in to James Horwill, let's just remember how many Wallabies were stretchered off the field Saturday night - 3. Two were accidental, but George North deliberately pushed Israel Folau very strongly into Berrick Barnes, leading to a nasty head clash. Don't see many of you calling for the citing commissioner for that.
Having said that, Horwill's action was reckless at best and probably deserves a suspension.
Just out of interest, have they sacked the ground manager yet for the shocking surface? I know it rained, but that was well below international standard.

I live in Cairo, not exactly a rugby capital, so I'm looking forward to playing rugby on my phone so I don't have to wait for heaven.
