Surely the person doing the dummy run should be behind the ball carrier, not in front! That’s obstruction. Hard to see it in real time for the Welsh try, but it should never have been allowed. Strict adherence to the law in similar obstruction/dummy moves has been softened to create a more exciting try rich experience to win over new rugby followers. Same laissez faire attitude now prevalent with the forward pass. Came as a surprise that Biggar’s try wasn’t allowed to stand.

Yep, ref got that one all arse about face! Said as much at the time. From the comfort of the armchair of course.

Barritt deserved red and the unfortunate Barrington, yellow at most. If it hadn’t been for the former’s swinging arm, Paling may well have stayed far more upright and avoided the latter’s shoulder. simples.

Unlucky, freak timing sort of accident, in my opinion. DH went in to clatter him, SOB dropped suddenly and the blow caught him much higher than intended. looked horrendous and ref couldn’t really do much else, and DH kind of accepted his fate. What else could he do. Was still a swinging arm I guess, but intended for ribs or to dislodge the ball.
Courtney Beale got yellow for high tackle and his arm was at about 45degrees. Tackled player dropped into it.Tough for referees, but hey, we all make mistakes

Habana was haming it up as always. Shame to see such a great player behaving like such a knob.

Too many forward passes as usual, especially in try scoring situations. Still, if both sides do it all the time, guess there’s no real cause for complaint. Perhaps the rule should be amended to make it easier for everybody.

That Sanchez was falling over and doing the old dying swan number all night long. Not good to see at all.

Absolutely a cheap shot from Papé, going in like a bleeding Morris Dancer. there’s no way his knee would come in at that height angle etc if he was approaching the maul in normal lumbering mode. The shoulders and arms do the binding, not the knees. And look how after delivering his sneaky little attack, he moves to the right and starts binding properly! how some can’t see it is frankly beyond me. a bit like the Rooney dive, I guess. As for his comments about not wanting to hurt his opponent....Please, do us a favour. Rugby is about smashing the opposition as hard as possible as often as possible. He’s got to be banned.
