Arizona Wildcat's pre-match Haka has angered rugby fans

What I find funny is the way that this guy puts it. "That would be the same Americans who landed on the moon that shines down on your sorry ass", as if the Americans pretty near "invented" or "crerated" the moon. Pretty telling about the mentality of some US citizens (stressing the some and the "US". Enough of this US being America crap. There's other people in there). My personal favourite piece of atittude is people like Pallin telling foreigners to "speak American" (lol), all the while they are just about one of the worst people to learn new languages, even when they are abroad.

Trying to invoke someone else's culture is a tricky issue at best, let alone when you do it in such a haphazard way. It's pretty embarassing to the people from said culture, but even more for the yokell that thought he'd look all cool with his "effort"

Karmichael Hunt and the ARU's realistic response

Wonderfull to see that Rugbydump seems to share the ARU's and the Red's type of morals.

- "Accused of consuming and distributing a substance seen as a performer enhancer? Even if out of season, the substance is a hard drug and would land most non famous people/sporstman in jail?" "Weeeeeelllll, we will forgive you if you are really good at rugby and play well in your upcoming games. Who knows, you might even play well for our national squad, being elevated to hero and role model to thousands of kids (who certainly wouldn't be treated with the same lenience in this situation, damn peasants)! Here's a shot at redemption for ya!"

- "Let's call everyone who thinks he shouldn't get away with a ridiculously lenient punishment just because he's famous a moral crusader, though. That will teach them to have double standards, like us. Also, let's use the "Come on, all the other cool kids do it too" excuse. Hey, it worked in high school when I tried to get into Cindy Morris' pants at that party"

Owen Williams banned for six weeks for making contact with Luther Burrell's eyes

So on the O'Donoghue incident there's clear proof of his intentions (what should really count. If I intend to shoot a person, the fact that I missed doesnt make it all alright, just makes me a pathetic failure), and yet he goes unpunished because "the victim lacked reaction to the gouging, indicating that it didn't occur" (btw, still think this is the biggest fallacy ever, as everyone reacts differently, even when they sit still). Yet on this instance, where people can't actually see anything other than williams in the vicinity of burrel, he gets a 6 games, making him miss the June internationals? How am I to take the IRB disciplinary council seriously? You want to ban williams, go for it, he did plead guilty after all, but dont make a mockery out of the process for letting o'donoghue go unpunished

Brian O'Driscoll's pass through the legs sets up Luke Fitzgerald try

How can a man be 235342 years old and still be that good a player? I guess class really is permanent!

DTH van der Merwe goes headfirst into the post

I like how you're thinking, even though I don't agree. I allways like to see the lower tiers evolve (hell, Im from a lower tier nation!), but I can't see you go through france and ireland. Itally is going to be a really tough job too, as they are allways good in the set pieces, very physical and passionate on defence. On top of that you risk having Georgia as Europe 2, which means you can risk the bottom place. I hope not, but it will be a really competitive group with a really tight battle between Canada, Italy and Europe 2 (either Russia or Georgia, me thinks. My proud Portugal is only in the running for the playoffspot, which we will discuss between uruguay, us and spain, as allways)

Kane Barrett gets straight red card but cited for separate stamp

Over-reffing? Maybe. Some may argue that even without intent any stud to face contact (he wasn't even looking, it can't be intentional, but he barelly missed the bloke's eye, he could have been blinded) can warrant a red card. Others may argue that without intent it's a yellow.

What seems strange to me is that in just 2 minutes, the man had two separate incidents where he tramples someone, stepping in the head/face area (tameifuna was grasping his face, the camera doesn't show much). Naughty, naughty!!

Even without intent that's reckless, and every player has the duty of ensuring a legal and safe contest at ruck time

Tongan Eddie Aholelei punches Jebb Sinclair after fight with Canada

One hundred percent behin what youj are saying, full back. The Pacific teams get singled out at times for a reason. You pull stuff like this once or twice and from that point on everyone expects you too. It may not be fair to the good guys in the pacific sides (not everyone is like that), but it is understandable, and they do have resposability as a team and as sportsmen to erradicate that sort of play. Samoa is the best example of trying to correct it. The pacific islanders certainly have the phisical potential, but often lack the discipline, fundamental skills and structural play to make a bid for bigger scalps. This samoan side has surprised many for it's big, effective and LEGAL defense (they won vs Australia because of it), understanding of the breakdown and even the much improved quality of their set-piece. Can you say that Samoa lost phisicality when compared to Tonga? No, just ask Scotland. But they certainly are less penalized, play a more steady, flowing game with an established game plan. It's all about the mentality

Castres upset Toulon with first French Top 14 title victory in 20 years

Is it me or kockotts try should be a penalty to toulon for obstruction from the castres n6 holding a defender (bakkies) who wasn't part of the ruck and preventing him to atempt a tackle on kockott? Also, at 77:12, when wilko gets tackled, the castres n4 dives on the ball, preventing it to be placed back and ultimatelly causing the turnover and shuting down the attack, surelly that is a penalty? Poor refereeing, seing that on the first situation the ref was looking directly at it from 3 meters back and on the turnover he was even closer. Before you call me a sore loser, I'm portuguese and I wanted clermont to come on top this year.

Allways good to see a smaller club fight back and take some silverware, though
