Is Carlin Isles the world's fastest rugby player?

Not sure that's a fair comment. Having played American Football, he must know a great bit more about the general style of play that you might give him credit. Besides, it even says in the preamble that he knew 15s before he knew 7s, and so he knows where the basic idea of 7s comes from. I'm sure there will come a time when opponents learn to take the space out wide and he'll be forced to work on his step and lines. As far as we know, he could be well capable of that but just has only opted to take these wide swooping runs because the opponents leave them open? I'm sure he's got the skills to chip kick or pass a ball

CJ Stander scores 80m try vs Glasgow on home debut for Munster

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Maybe they ought to look at giving different periods of time different weight. hadn't thought of that

Boris Johnson's amusing RWC 2015 draw speech

You've got to love a politician who doesn't mind making a bit of an oaf of himself. His hair seems to do it all by itself, btw

CJ Stander scores 80m try vs Glasgow on home debut for Munster

Unlike most people, I generally feel that the residency rule is not a bad thing. Three years is actually a fair amount of time. I know here in Canada it would be enough to apply for citizenship, so why not let them play? Home is where you lay your head. But home is also where the heart is, and it doesn't sound like Stander's heart is in Ireland. So in this case I might say I'm not all for it. Beast, for example, or Castrogiovanni, have adopted their countries just like their countries adopted them, so let's not forget that.

There are a lot of countries where expats are what drives the Sport. There, letting foreign born-players into the national squad increases the quality of the Rugby, and might give the team more publicity and promote naturals picking up the oval ball. I agree that there are stories that everyone likes to latch on to, but on the whole I don't think the residency rule is as much of a farce as everyone makes it out to be.

Three red cards in heated Leicester Tigers vs Bath battle at Welford Road

By they way, I read somewhere else that it is Leicester that banned Deacon internally for losing his cool which resulting in negating Banahan's sending off. This means it was NOT the citing commissioner.

Yeah, it did draw blood though. You can see Banahan's lip bleeding as he walks off

The Rugby World Cup 2015 Pools drawn and IRB awards given

Yeah, I think the Millennium Stadium is undoubtedly a world-class facility, but it should only be used for the say QF or SF when they want something with lots of capacity to generate ticket revenue. I say keep the pool stage completely in England, as they are the official hosts after all. Very respectable of you by the way, to admit that. Refreshing.

The Rugby World Cup 2015 Pools drawn and IRB awards given

Pool D will probably work out to Canada and Romania, in my mind. Which would nevertheless make for some awesome Rugby. Seems pretty evenly matched, IMO. Pool B could also be quite the affair. Predicting Japan and the USA will join them there, so could be room for quite the shake-up. Scotland is and probably will be playing poorly, while USA and Japan are on the ups.

I agree with the finals prediction, that's the same result I came to when I worked it through beforehand. Pity too, as I would have hoped this RWC would be the chance for a country that hasn't taken the Cup before to do so. Fingers crossed that either Argentina or France make it there to shake things up.

Rugby World Cup 2015 Pool Allocation Draw - Live stream

Agreed, or at the very least if the USA beats Scotland would qualify automatically for the next cup. Also, If the USA goes to pool B that would be Canada in Pool D, which likewise could actually be possible to advance in, providing at least a win over Italy. If you take into consideration the fact that either Chile, Uruguay, or Brazil could take the repechage and it could turn out to quite the RWC for Rugby in the Americas

Rugby World Cup 2015 Pool Allocation Draw - Live stream

Assuming everything pans out as I think it will,
Pool A will be joined by Fiji and Russia
Pool B will be joined by Japan and the USA
Pool C will be joined by Georgia and Zimbabwe (as Namibia can't seem to get their sh*@ together and are stuck in the second division of the Africa Cup)
Pool D will be joined by Canada and Romania
Altogether pretty interesting when compared to the pools in 2011.

However, given how these are almost exactly the same teams from 2011 and could well be the same teams depending on how the qualifiers play out, and given how Rugby is growing globally, I think there ought to be another 5 teams included to make up another pool. Fingers crossed for this being the format by the time Japan hosts?
