The Top 5 Brian O'Driscoll Moments of All Time

I'd agree up to a point. Whatever era you play in, the conditions are the same for your peers. BoD has evolved with the game which is what I think sets him apart from others. Geordan Murphy had blinding skill and had it not been for the huge frames of the professional era he probably would have made more of a name for himself.
BoD's numbers are more than impressive, record number of caps, record number of tries scored for any centre in the history of the game, top 6ns try scorer and this is all without counting the number of assists, turnovers and tackles.
As for positions I'd tend to agree with the apples and oranges, different skill sets, physique, role to play in the game.
I think "one of" the all time greats is fair, it puts him up there with Campese, Blanco, JPR, Gibson, Johnson, Wilkinson and yes the great McCaw....I'd say he'd be more than happy with the company!

Stephen Ferris returns to rugby with trademark powerful tackle

Why would we put O'Brien at 8 instead of Heaslip???
We finally have 2 specialist 7's O'Mahoney/Henry, Heaslip is the best 8 we have for sure as far as I'm concerned. O'Brien and Ferris for 6 spot.
Let's not forget Jordi Murphy who's making a name for himself also, if only we had the same depth in quality in the centre's!
Oh dear BoD!

The Best Tries scored in Round 5 of Super Rugby 2014

well Herman, the confusion at this point is whether or not you're being ironic.
Let's say you're being serious for a sec...
The ref said it was knocked back by white...as far as I can see that's not what happened.
As for the "kick", if you lose control of the ball it doesn't matter what it hits after, a kick is a kick, dropping the ball is dropping the ball.
So at this stage let's just say you were having a laugh....lol good one! ;)

Absolutely! Great to see how much respect he's earned from opposition fans, have to love Rugby for that too!
If we beat France I think we deserve it despite losing to England in that very even contest.
England have a young squad who have all the potential of producing another "golden generation"...they'll get their chance again.

Jamie Mackintosh off the ball shoulder shot on Richie McCaw

Well the thing is you're allowed to run whatever line you want as long as you don't shield the person holding the ball.
Defenders can't commit before they see the ball going to hand. You're saying it's fair game but the laws of the game state otherwise, you can't tackle a guy without the ball.
We already have defences playing on the fine lines between on and offside when rushing up, if it becomes acceptable to take out possible recipients of the ball then we can say goodbye to running rugby and sit back and watch the up and under game....I hope they keep pinging it and defenders can spend more time getting their timing right.
