England part of three-horse race for the title after victory over Scotland

Arguing over semantics! Butchered, bombed, c***ed up. They left too many points on the field. They made 12 linebreaks, threw forward passes when there was no need to, Tom Youngs threw a pass the perfectly bisected his support. They've had 4 tries disallowed in the last two games, they need to stop making errors when the pressure is on

I think Brown offers a good option with his left boot. Plus New Zealand, Wales, South Africa and France have not regularly played with kicking option in the centres and Ireland rarely did before Payne was gaelicised. I haven't seen much of Slade to be honest, so it's hard to comment on him.

Burrell is a funny one. He's physically big, but player much more like a rapier than a bludgeon as he relies on speed and good angles rather than physically imposing himself. I would love to see Manu at 12 to give defences a real worry!

I'm not sure how a win when England cut the Scots to ribbons can feel like a disappointment, but it does. They left so much out on the field, but at least they created. There needs to be more composure, but they are so young. I'd love to see Manu at 12 in this team, would just add some raw power the we lack a little. Hopefully France as as devoid of ideas as they were today when they get to Twickers!

Three Kiwis banned for punching or striking in Round 2 of Super Rugby

A few points. How is 'he was bigger than me sir' a defense? Franks in a international prop with 67 caps so he doesn't struggle for physicality and also is listed as heavier the Hohneck!
Also how is punching in the face not a red card (as some people have argued)? It's so dangerous and many people are killed in fights with a single blow to the head. It is also deliberate, intends to cause harm as well as not benefiting your team as it's a act for the good of you.

Bloodied Brad Barritt happy to put body on the line in win over Wallabies

Still not good enough in attack for a team that feels that it has a chance at a world cup. Very brave and committed, but not talented enough

Romain Taofifenua banned for three weeks for kicking Stuart Olding in the head

People can get hurt because they are tackle hard or in a legal collision, not as they played the game and someone recklessly kicked them on the floor! It's a very dangerous situation when people kicking the ball with players on the ground.

It is not intentional, but you have to take responsibility for the consequences of your actions. It was dangerous play (the proof being that he hurt someone) so you have to expect sanctioning.

Hard hitting Chris Hala'ufia crunches but then slaps Scott Wilson

You could read it as Hala'ufia thinking the awkward arm was Wilson trying to hold him? We'll never know
I do feel the right decision was made though, which is nice

South Africa maintain home record with dramatic last ditch win over Wales

I think this try saving tackle by Toeava on Hape is also an example of a shoulder charge (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afadbK_qxCI) which was referred to the TMO but not picked up. Please excuse the butchering of space by England.....
