Drew Mitchell catches the ball between his feet after Leigh Halfpenny penalty

Drew Mitchell and the Waratahs got used to standing behind their posts on Saturday as they conceded five tries and Leigh Halfpenny slotted eight kicks at goal. Early on Mitchell made things a bit more interesting, showing a great piece of skill as he caught the ball between his feet.

You may have missed it live, but we've had many requests as it was clearly quite impressive.

His good mate Adam Ashley-Cooper caught one behind the back recently, which was also from a Halfpenny kick, and in the past John Eales was known to get up high and catch the ball before it went over. That was since outlawed, despite it being good fun to see whenever it happend.

This is just a little something extra that you might enjoy seeing, and trying during your next game.

Are you guys going to post some SA v Scotland/ Italy v Samoa highlights? Seem you're sidetracked by schoolboys and circus acts? ;)

Nice skills. I agree, he played well on Saturday. Hope he gets back in the Aussie colors :)

RD, speaking of funny little things during the game, can you dig up Neil Jenkins' accidental falcon in the Lions game vs Combined Country, after Hogg hits the post on a conversion kick, in the 13th minute? Makes for fun watching ;)

Chris Latham used to have some good tricks up his sleeve in this position. Most of the time he would kick his leg backwards as it went over his head and kick the ball with his heal. Often it would go straight back over his head and onto the field, occasionally even through the goal posts.

The idea was to catch it in his hands after it travelled back over his head.
Which he did once in a while but often not.

RD can you dig up the elbow by the irish on Canadian 13 from the last game, before McFadden's 2nd try I say foul play.

Gutsy, if he'd miss-timed it that could have been a nasty bounce!

Any footage of Wallabies, think it was Campese, pretending to touch down a missed penalty for a dropout then running it?
