Stephen Donald yellow card for shoving Dan Bowden in the face

Stephen Donald received a yellow card as Leicester Tigers beat Bath in a fiery game at Welford Road. The Television Match Official ruled that Donald had struck Dan Bowden with swinging arms.

The referee took that one further and told the World Cup winner that he had thrown punches, which as you can see, Donald wasn't too amused with.

This happened shortly after Matt Banahan and Brett Deacon were red carded for a high tackle and punch respectively. Francois Louw was also sent off in what was a tempestuous second half.

"Tim? Trevor here. I've got white 10, heard a teammate call him "Beaver". That's a yellow card."

Haha did the TMO really just say that he didnt catch the number of the Leicester player? Isnt that what the replay is for?

One things for sure, this style of TMO'ing will not sit happy with the players .......

Interestingly Ed Morrison was at this game and the ludicrous Donald decision won't have escaped him...he's bright

Hey I've had another look at this................... it is entirely possible [ Donald being a former All Black ] that he was merely very very very early on the next 'blocking running line' for the next passage of play coming up ...

New Zealanders' have been the masters at perfecting off the ball blocks, so maybe old 'D' being so badly mistimed tells you why he isn't in the AB's anymore !.
