Huge hit, great to see such eagerness in international rugby!

Poor game, poor selection policy (on Ireland's behalf) and no real attacking flair. Hopefully Kidney might start playing younger players who have been playing well for the province's. Still don't think this will happen any day soon though.

Living in England with a limited opportunity to watch full game footage of the RaboDirect and so basing my opinion primarily on this game, McCarthy impressed me all game with his physicality. Given O'Connells slightly overrated form, I felt he more than deputised for him. The power of that hit has to be taken in the context of the size of the player he rattled when travelling at a fair lick.

Two great tackles! However, it seems that these days there are fewer and fewer replays of the bigger tackles shown whilst the game is on (for example Coetzee's can only be watched from a distance it wasn't replayed). Do the camera men genuinely miss them or are they advised not to show them in slow motion?!! Countless times, it seems, fantastic tackles are never re visited. Brad Barritt was wiped out against Fiji and nothing was reviewed, we can only hope RD brings it to us!
