Questions from Round 13 of Super Rugby

Questions from Round 13 of Super Rugby

It's the Heineken Cup final this evening, as the biggest game in European rugby takes place in Cardiff. And I'm in Edinburgh. But this is life, things don't always go according to plan, as you'll see in the short video below.

A return to Edinburgh was long overdue, having lived here over ten years ago. It's a beautiful city and while rugby seems to struggle for popularity up here, it's been good to see the marketing efforts of those pushing the Edinburgh Sevens, which takes place next weekend.

If you're in the area, make sure you get along as it's sure to be a good fun, and a could be an excellent introduction to the game for those who aren't usually rugby fans, so drag them along. The same can be said for the London Sevens, which is taking place at the moment down south.

As for the rugby fifteens calendar, the Heineken Cup final kicks off in a few hours time, but then there's also been some fantastic Super Rugby going on, with much more to come later today.

While there's a few critics of the tournament due to it's open, attack-minded style of play, you can also be sure that there's always something entertaining happening. That's the beauty of rugby, as often the small incidents make great viewing. With that in mind, here's a few questions for you from last weekend, as asked by Reunion in New Zealand.

Time: 01:25
Thanks to Reunion on The Rugby Channel, Sky NZ

Ahah, if all the players stop because there's a knock-on, I think the referee should probably stop play for a knock-on.

please post the full highlights of the try where almost everyone stops.

Waa - what the hell happened with the knock-on try? Did the ref play the shortest 'advantage' in history? Did he not see the knock-on from blue?

Nice collection of clips ... apart from TJ's commentary. Such things are much better done by the likes of Greg Martin.

Where can you see the Heineken cup final? BBC seems to have sold all the rights to non-international games :-/

Regarding the Bulls try, it was certainly absurd-looking during the match, because the majority of players on both sides though that there must've been a knock-on and everyone sort of stopped...but replays showed it hit Kirchner in the chest and was therefore not a knock.

Still a pretty lame try, but at the end of the day, the Rebels lost by a mile, so in the long run, it didn't much matter.

Hey, assholes, why give away the HC match in a thread not having anything to do with it?

Thanks, dickheads.

Lame comment. They're doing something similar, so what!? I still enjoyed it and saw stuff I haven't seen elsewhere. That's what I come to RD for.

goddamnit > try buying a TV before viewing a rugby site to avoid "spoilers". It's pretty obvious somebody would be talking about it.

It was a classic game either way, stunning comeback in a pressure enviroment, can't beat cup competitions.

"try buying a TV before viewing a rugby site to avoid "spoilers"

Yes, that's the solution. I'll buy a tv, and still not get any rugby coverage; some of us live in countries where rugby is sparsely shown on television without a hefty subscription fee.

Sorry if I was disappointed that some couch potato got so excited watching the match, he thought, "geez, I better get on and comment on whatever post is on the front page, regardless of its relevancy!"

Why not just hold on until the clips for the match get posted? Is that asking a lot?

"hefty subscription fee"

The UK has higher TV subscription fees than all of Europe (and all of the southern hemisphere) and you can still view the HEC for ONLY 1 a day, less than most people spend on coffee.

It's more retarded to view a rugby site and HOPE that nobody mentions a result than to actually watch a match and view a rugby site to see what other people are saying.

Who said anything about the UK or Europe?

It's stupid to argue with you about this, but my point was this this post (regarding Round 13 of Super Rugby) has nothing to do with the Heineken Cup final.

Perhaps I came on the site to see something regarding Super Rugby before I get the chance to watch the HC, and clicked on comments for this video to discuss...this video.

Why does someone feel the need to emote over the results in this particular thread? That's what was annoying.

It's not a big deal. I just think the people who brought it up were dicks. The end.

I was chatting about this the other day with a mate. Why doesn't the rugby club do something like this? The commentary is a million times better than anything Dowi, Brian Moore et al put out. Even football has Soccer AM.

@anonymous two above

RD is undergoing a revamp at the minute,so the owner has little time to post videos,as he has explained already

To the butt-hole above who said this is copying the "Plays of the Week", Reunion has been on the air for over a decade and they have always had this questions segment

@anon above me. I was just about to say this. ReUnion has been doing this sort of thing since before the Australian version existed. Also ReUnion isn't meant to be a comedy-type show like the Australian one, it's a serious analysis of all the games that have taken place that week.

The invisible man is much much better than the New Zealand born Wallaby.
